Description:
The Sport & Story Subscription Internship is a full 8 weeks where you’ll dive headfirst into the world of sports and the fast-paced environment through the lens of your individual platform. You’ll learn the fundamental skills and knowledge it takes to have a career in sports media, as well as develop yourself professionally and personally. You will also build connections with our employees, learn about our business, and uncover where your passions are within the sports industry. You are certain to have fun along the way!
During the internship, you will learn to:
Research, pitch, write, capture, edit, and produce creative, original quality visual content and compelling stories.
Develop and cultivate a wide network of resources within the college athletics community.
Generate original story ideas and develop fresh angles and perspectives for content executions.
Identify long and short-term story ideas.
Research, set up, and conduct interviews.
Capture video using a variety of Sony, Cannon, and Panasonic camera equipment.
Capture audio while filming.
Refine your interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of at least one year of college and currently enrolled in college.
Reliable transportation.
Strong initiative.
Creativity, out of box thinking.
Interest in business, journalism, sports media…or all three!
*This is not a remote internship. Must be present for the duration of internship.
*This is an unpaid internship.
*This internship is eligible for college credit.
