Hogs+ Celebrates Emmy Award for Original Film "Do You Believe in Fairy Tales"

Hogs+ was honored at the 47th annual Mid-America Emmy Gala on Saturday night, taking home the prestigious Emmy Award for the original film, Do You Believe in Fairy Tales.

Do You Believe in Fairy Tales premiered in March in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the 1997-98 Arkansas women’s basketball team, documenting the story of the Razorbacks’ improbable journey to the Final Four as a 9-seed – still the lowest seed to ever reach the final weekend of the NCAA Tournament. 

With a total run time of 40 minutes, the film covered the highs and lows of the 1997-98 season that set the stage for the team’s remarkable run in March and featured interviews with the key members of the team, including Christy Smith and Wendi Willits plus head coach Gary Blair, assistant coaches Amber Shirey and Vic Schaefer and more. 

The film was directed by Hogs+ Producer Haley Ordway, who was also recognized with an Emmy nomination for the three-part 100 Seasons of Arkansas Basketball docuseries that premiered on Hogs+ earlier this year.
