There is no question that the University of Arkansas has a ravenous fanbase. One that is deeply committed to their Hogs. Craving a deeper connection with their fans, Arkansas launched Hogs+. Hogs+ has quickly become a thriving fan community and the home of Arkansas Razorback stories, compelling stories that fans can’t get anywhere else.
Insatiable Appetite for Stories
The launch of Hogs+ made Arkansas Athletics, one of the first collegiate athletic departments to launch its own direct-to-fan subscription platform. Reaching half of its year-one subscription goal in just 45 days, Hogs+ proved that Razorback fans have an insatiable appetite for the stories we were streaming about their teams, student-athletes, coaches, and beyond.
Overwhelming Reception
Hogs+ has been met with open arms by Razorback fans on social media. In fact, Hogs+ social accounts reached a combined following of 12,500 in 90 days.
Athletes, coaches, and directors at the University of Arkansas have also embraced Hogs+. Many have leaned into Hogs+, giving fans a glimpse at their enthusiasm, leadership, and personality — reaching millions of views on social media.
Foundation and Marketing Value
The Razorback Foundation and the Razorback Marketing Department have benefitted immensely from Hogs+. With 90% of Hogs+ subscribers being new to the Razorback Foundation, the foundation has opened new doors with future supporters.
The Razorback Marketing department discovered that 50% of Hogs+ subscribers had never been captured in any of their databases. The department can now reach a significant number of fans they previously didn’t know they had.
National and Local Media Coverage
By sharing timely Razorback stories with broadcast networks like ESPN, SECN and CBS, we have organically marketed the HOGS+ network nationally on College GameDay, SEC Nation, and CBS pregame show.
